Plankton is a handmade ceramic wall humma, its surface covered by large, organically growing forms that resemble algae or mineral crystals. They spread across the humma like a gently pulsating, living layer. In the center, small dots scatter outward like plankton, creating a light and misty rhythm that calmly breaks the surface like the quiet breath of the sea.
Plankton is a unique piece. Its small blue specks grow into larger formations here and there, but at the heart of the work they remain as a subtle kind of noise.
Sometimes you have to look beyond the surface. When the gaze passes through the noise, the tiny particles open up with the light, shimmering and ringing like a quiet, secret song.
The piece is hung on the wall using a concealed mounting hole on the back. If needed, three mounting points can be used to ensure the humma sits securely even on an uneven wall.
Every Humma is signed on the back.
