Drink from a Sculpture inspired by Sibelius

When was the last time you drank from a sculpture? I want to take unique glassware to new places. Now, my pieces have found their way to the legendary Kämp Bar, where even the national composer Jean Sibelius once raised his glass.
One summer, my phone rang, and I was asked to sketch a design for a glass for the Lemon & Punch drink, created by Joona Kurkela, to be used in a recently renovated historical setting. The glass belongs to UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. When it resonates in our time, it becomes living culture.
The piece turned out massive, solid, weighing three kilograms. It demands you to pause. We rush. We scroll. We tap. Glasses carry the message of slowing down, of presence, of the moment. Sometimes, we should lift a glass and simply take in our surroundings. But this glass is lifted with both hands. It is an experience, a conversation, a journey through time. In it, the sculpture becomes part of the moment.
When the glasses were photographed, it was sheer joy to dress up in the stunning creation by Sabina Eklund: full-on extravagance, layers upon layers of ruffles! The shoot was captured by the incredible Vesa Laitinen. The result speaks for itself.
Come and experience it yourself! Sit, pause, and let the ensemble tell its story. But remember to ask for a seat at the Lemon Table, where artists of the past once gathered.
